One of Brooklyn’s premier Haitian restaurants. Kombit serves traditional griot, tasso, legume, and diri ak djon djon in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Their weekend specials featuring soup joumou draw crowds from across the borough.
Diri ak djon djon on Sunday is the reason I come. Deep-black rice, earthy, proper. Portion was huge. They also had soup joumou on the menu — rare for a weekend.
