The undisputed champions of doubles in NYC, A&A has been serving Richmond Hill’s Trini community since the early morning hours with their legendary bara bread stuffed with curried channa. Their secret is in the fresh-made bara that’s soft and pillowy, paired with perfectly spiced chickpeas and a selection of pepper sauces that range from mild to fire. The small shop buzzes with the energy of regulars who’ve been coming for years, and the early morning lines are a testament to authenticity that can’t be replicated. Don’t miss their Saturday morning bake and buljol special.

Love the authentic vibe here, feels like you’re actually in Trinidad. They’re playing soca in the background and the staff is super friendly. Cash only though, so come prepared!

Been coming here for years and the quality never drops. Their bake and shark is incredible too if you want something different from the doubles. Opens crazy early which is perfect for grabbing breakfast before work.

Best doubles in the city, hands down. The bara is always fresh and the channa has that perfect spice level – not too hot but enough kick to wake you up. Get there early though, they sell out fast!
